Michael "Koko" Eberli is a founding member of Spezialmaterial Records. With projects like Sissikontest, Person, Immersive Project (Holger Mertin, DJ Marcelle, Eberhard Kranemann from early Kraftwerk), God Loves Fags, or the current electroacoustic improvisation project Schlamm, he has made a name for himself in sound modulation, analog sequencing, and producing. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Plaid and Team Doyobi. In countless live performances, he has shown that an audience is best gripped with musical dynamics.
Koko has also developed various audiovisual installations, which have been exhibited internationally. Oscillating between composing theater music and recomposing a Mahler symphony for the Tonhalle Zurich, his fascination with sound has never faded. For his music and art projects, he has won two art prizes in Lucerne and has been significantly funded by Pro Helvetia for projects.
In addition to his collective music projects, he currently teaches visual arts to teenagers. His interest in ancient yoga techniques led him to complete a Master's degree in Nada Yoga (The Yoga of Sound) in Transdisciplinary Studies in the Arts at ZHDK in Zurich.
